Ordering From Children's Rooms

How do I find what I am looking for?
There are several ways to find a particular item. Our product ranges are listed at the left of the screen. If you know the range that you are looking for simply click on the name. Our products are also listed under categories which can be found at the right of the screen, e.g. boys bedding, girls bedding, curtains etc.
There is also a Product Index which lists all of our products alphabetically. Finally, you can use the Search facility.

How Do I Purchase An Item From Children's Rooms?
Once you have found an item you wish to buy simply click on the 'Add To Cart' button and it will be added to your shopping cart.
If you want to purchase additional items or wish to browse around our store a little longer click on the 'Continue Shopping' button.
A summary of the number of items in your shopping cart and the total value (including shipping costs) is displayed in a yellow box near the top right of the screen.
When you have added all of the items that you wish to purchase you should click on 'View Cart' in the Shopping Cart summary and then click on the 'Checkout' button. You should then enter the billing and delivery addresses before clicking on the 'Click here to pay with your credit/debit card' button. You will then be directed to our payment processing partner, HSBC, who will collect your card details using their secure ePayments system.

How do I know that my order has been placed successfully?
When you have entered your payment details you should be directed to a page confirming that the order has been placed successfully.
You should also receive an e-mail confirming that we have received your order.

How do I order more than one of a particular item?
In the shopping cart change the quantity to the required amount and click on the 'Recalculate' button.

I get a message stating that an item is out of stock when I try to add it to my shopping cart. Can I still place an order for this item?
It is company policy not to accept orders for items that are currently out of stock. We are not comfortable taking your money if we can not give a definite timescale for delivery. If you would like us to reserve an out of stock item please contact us and we will let you know when it is back in stock.
Occasionally an order might be accepted and we find that we are out of stock. In such circumstances we will contact you with the options of cancelling the order or waiting for the item to come back into stock.

Do you accept cheques?
No, it is company policy to only accept payment by credit/debit card. In exceptional circumstances we will accept payment by postal orders. Please contact us if you wish to pay by postal orders.

Is shopping with Children's Rooms secure?
We use the industry leading HSBC secure ePayments to process card payments on our behalf. The HSBC online debit and credit card processing solution is an award winner for 'Best Security/Anti-Fraud Development, The Credit Card Awards 2007'.

When do you take payment from my card?
When you place an order a pre-authorisation is placed on your card. The funds are only taken from the card when we perform the post-authorisation on despatch of your order.


Delivery

Do you ship overseas?
Unfortunately not, we only ship to the UK.

How is the shipping charge calculated?
The shipping charge is calculated based on several factors including the size and weight of the product(s) ordered and the packaging required.
The shipping charge is displayed in your shopping cart before you proceed to the checkout.

Which companies do you use to deliver the orders?
We use Parcel Force and the Royal Mail. Smaller items are generally sent by Royal Mail first class post and larger orders are despatched by Parcel Force 24.
Parcels despatched to the Channel Islands and BFPO are usually sent by Royal Mail.

How long does it take for delivery?
Orders received by 2.00pm on a working day are normally despatched on the same day. Orders received after this time or on a weekend or bank holiday will be despatched on the following working day.
Orders are despatched by either Royal Mail First Class post or by Parcel Force next working day delivery. You should receive the parcel on the following working day after despatch, however, this is not a guaranteed service and we obviously have no control once the parcel has been collected from our premises.
Deliveries to certain parts of Scotland, Northern Ireland, Isle of Man and the Isles of Scilly can sometimes take a little longer.

How will I know if my parcel has been despatched?
We will send you an e-mail confirming that your order has been despatched.
If your order is being sent with Parcel Force you will receive a further e-mail with a tracking number to allow you to track and trace your parcel on their on-line system.

Our Products

Are your products officially licensed?
Yes, all of the licensed products that we sell are obtained directly from the suppliers that hold the UK licenses to manufacture them.

Are your curtains lined?
No, unless otherwise stated in the product description the curtains that we sell are not lined.

Are your curtains tab top, eyelet or pencil pleat?
Unless otherwise stated in the product description our curtains are pencil pleat style for use with curtain hooks.

Do you make curtains to measure?
No we do not. We obtain our curtains ready made directly from the manufacturer.
