Melia Cayo Guillermo Hotel is set in large palm gardens which open onto the white sand beach. There is a wooden jetty with shaded cabins over the water and a watersports centre with windsurfing, pedal boats and catamarans.
Surrounded by patios and a water garden the outdoor pool complex features a lagoon-style swimming pool with a swim-up bar, a pool for children and an outdoor Jacuzzi. At the beach and around the swimming pools there are sun loungers, shades and massage palapas.
Further leisure facilities and activities include a fitness centre, a sauna, tennis courts, beach volleyball, scuba diving lessons for beginners, a beauty salon and massage treatments (local charges). The hotel can also organise diving, fishing and boat trips (local charges).
The Club House organises beach and pool activities during the day with entertainment and shows in the evening. It also has board games and a pick-up point for beach towels.
Social and dining venues include five restaurants, a 24-hour bar for coffees and cocktails, a swim-up pool bar, a beach bar and a Latino bar with music and dance floor. Las Palmeras is the main restaurant and overlooks the gardens. It is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner with buffet service and show cooking. La Laguna offers a gourmet menu of international cuisine whilst Bonasi specialises in Mediterranean dishes at lunch and dinner. On the beach, there is a grill restaurant serving lunch and afternoon snacks. By the pool, Cascada specialises in a la carte breakfasts, light lunches and snacks.
Amenities and services available to guests include 24-hour reception, concierge, porters and car parking spaces. There is also a gift shop, excursion desk, currency exchange, laundry services and medical services (all with local charges).
