If there is one organization to go through if you are looking to do the greatest amount of good, it is this one. Even on the days we didn't volunteer, the activities we did supported local families and were done in a way that looked out for the diverse environment we were in. Outside of doing good, this trip was incredibly fun! GIVE does a great job of balancing work and play so you feel proud and accomplished while also doing all the "must-see's" in the location you're in. The food, people, and scenery is out of this world and I pinched myself every day.

With having three meals provided daily to visiting active volcanos and teaching English to some of the local students, words cannot describe how impactful this experience was. I never would have thought to become so close to the people of the community and those I volunteered with.

Communication is instant snd through multiple channels. But the trip itself was awesome. I felt privileged to visit this big, beautiful and complex country. We did a volunteer give back project that really moved me and spent a few rewarding hours in a local school. But we swam, kayaked, cycled, fished in the mud, walked, climbed, got massaged, went on boat tours, had cooking lessons and laughed until we cried. The tour is organised by Jane who cares deeply about each guest and goes out of her way to make your tour perfect. But the magic ingredient is the Tour Leader who leads you through the mystical and tragic story of Vietnam in a sensitive and captivating way. He made every single person feel special and taught history to even the least interested. The proof of my enjoyment of this trip is that I am going back again in March next year and I can’t wait. Do yourself a favour, get off the fence and go. You won’t regret it

Volunteer in India (2-6 Weeks)This is an amazing once-in-a-lifetime experience! I only signed up for 2 weeks since I was unsure of what to expect and ended up trying to extend my trip. Unfortunately, my boss at home didn’t let me stay any longer but I have plans to come back in the future. The whole PMGY India team makes you feel at home and is very helpful with any needs you may have. I did medical volunteering and was able to take vital signs, dress basic wounds, distribute medications, and give injections all under the supervision of a physician. In my two weeks, I was able to view surgeries at the local hospital and work in a rehabilitation/ physical therapy clinic, an ultrasound clinic, a laboratory, elderly facilities, and the slums. There is a school right next to the volunteer house which allows you to play with the children and help teach them English during your free time. I highly recommend this experience to everyone. You must be open-minded to new/ different cultures to get the most out of your experience!

I left for Tanzania three days after graduating from high school. Entering the classroom for the first time, I felt timid and under qualified to be teaching a group of adults. Instead, I was greeted with the most authentic and joyful people I've ever met. Their pure enthusiasm to learn lifted me up in the constant smiles and laughter and I was eager to come to class each morning. We were there to teach them, but in the end I learned more from the people of Kairo than I could ever learn in a classroom. Most important to me was how GIVE engaged with the community and included locals in the work and highly valued their opinions. It was clear they wanted us there and valued our efforts in the community. We were lead mainly by locals and their knowledge of the area and the cultural values in Tanzania always made me feel comfortable and welcome. I cannot recommend this program enough for anyone who is wanting to find their purpose abroad!
