Clynelish Distillery was established in Brora by the Marquess of Stafford in 1819, Its building signaled the end of illicit distilling in the area and provided a ready market for locally grown barley. Water is piped from Clynemilton burn to produce this fruity, slightly smoky single malt scotch whisky much appreciated by connoisseurs.
