This is almost a Greatest Hits bottling, with a bit of everything you like about Ledaig: coastal smoke, seafood, tar, and all that good stuff. There’s a certain elegance in how it all holds together though, a lean towards an almost Laphroaigy medicinal quality, and with time a ripe red apple sweetness to be found. Lovely!
This whisky was distilled on the 6th May 2009, and matured in a refill hogshead until being bottled in September 2021. It produced 311 bottles at a cask strength of 55.5%
