Tullibardine The Murray 2007 Bourbon Cask
The Tullibardine Marquess Collection celebrates their heritage and strong link with the hamlet of Tullibardine. There have been many famous figures bearing the title of the Marquess of Tullibardine for centuries. Sir William Murray was the 2nd Marquess of Tullibardine, who fought in the first Jacobite rebellion at the battle of Sherifmuir in 1715. In 1745 he was chosen by Bonnie Prince Charlie to unfurl the Royal Standard at Glenfinnan, announcing the Prince as the rightful King of Scotland.
From their stills, to barrel, to bottle, this is classic Tullibardine that has spent all of its life in 1st fill bourbon barrels. This is the sixth edition of the Tullibardine Marquess Collection released by Tullibardine Distillery.
This sixth edition of the Murray has a wonderful array of aromas and flavours all working in perfect harmony. Fragrant freshly mown hay and baked lemon meringue pie mingle with vanilla ice cream and hints of desiccated coconut, all delightfully combining with malted biscuits and creamy toffee flavours to produce a smooth lingering finish.
