What is Goat Milk?

Goat Milk is sourced from the domestic goat, a subspecies of goat domesticated from the wild goat of Eastern Europe & Southwest Asia. Goats are very particular about what they eat and, contrary to popular belief, will refuse unnatural and poor quality Food. Goats are playful and friendly too, and love human contact while providing us with a quality product that people really want. In fact, around the world more people drink goat milk than Cow’s Milk, and in the UK, it is now one of Britain’s fastest growing dairy products.

All mainstream brands of baby milk are based on cow’s milk and are modified to be suitable for babies. In contrast, Nannycare is based on goat milk.

What is a Follow On Formula?

Follow On fomulas are usually designed for babies between 6-12 months and made to be more like cow's milk. They will often contain increased levels of Iron too, and while it is not neccessary for a baby to move on to these types of formulas, they may briefly become constipated as their Body adjusts to the change in diet.

How might a Nannycare Goat Milk Formula benefit my baby?

Goat milk formulas may simply suit your baby better than mainstream cow milk formulas. They form looser, softer and more porous curds in the baby’s stomach, which is particularly helpful to the baby’s delicate developing digestive system, and include a casein profile that is closer to human milk (than cow’s milk).

Not only does goat milk differ in taste to cow's milkbut it also contains more Calcium (13%), more Potassium (134%), and more levels of Vitamin A (25%) and Vitamin B (47%) too. It also contains less sugar (lactose) than cow's milk, has high levels nucleotides & medium-chain fatty acids, and is an excellent source of high quality, readily digestible Proteins.
