These SSD (shaft drive, steel deck) machines have professional quality features including the 3-speed gearbox, heavy duty wheels and fully adjustable handles. The blade brake clutch means you can stop the blade rotating without turning the engine off. The BBC is a useful feature if you’re moving the mower over paths or gravel surfaces and if the machine is left unattended to empty the grass collector.No matter how demanding the mowing conditions the shaft drive system is designed to provide the best performance. The shaft drive ensures no loss of power and maximises the mowing performance as the torque travels through the shaft and not along a belt which can twist or break in tough cutting conditions. Recommended for lawns up to 1,000 – 3,000 m2Features
