Lamberts Biotin 500mcg

Lamberts Biotin 500mcg 90 Capsules is a high strength supplement that provides a full 500µg of Biotin per capsule. This is a level that would be difficult to find in any ‘high street’ multi-vitamin and it is made in the UK to pharmaceutical GMP standards.

Biotin is probably the most interesting member of the Vitamin B family because it is produced by the bacteria in our digestive system and we can absorb it from this source. However, intestinal disturbances and antibiotics can disrupt its normal production.

  • 90 Capsules.
  • Suitable for vegetarians.
  • Provides a full 500µg of biotin per capsule.
  • Made in the UK to pharmaceutical GMP standards.
  • Maintains healthy looking skin & mucous membranes.
  • Contributes to the process that releases energy from food.
  • Assists production of Biotin by the bacteria in the digestive system.
  • Also contributes to the maintenance of normal hair & the normal function of the nervous system.

What is Biotin good for?

Biotin contributes to the process that releases Energy from Food and in the maintenance of normal skin and mucous membranes. Biotin also contributes to the maintenance of normal Hair and the normal function of the nervous system.

The co-enzyme properties of Biotin are involved in the processes by which carbohydrate and protein is metabolized for energy release and to take part in the production of prostaglandins from Essential Fatty Acids. In the body, Biotin is mostly used to assist with normal growth and development of hair, Skin, nerves and bone marrow.

What does Biotin do?

Biotin is also known as Vitamin B7 and promotes healthy nails and hair, helps the body utilise carbohydrates, fats and proteins and may play a part in improving blood sugar control for diabetics. This vitamin was first isolated from egg yolk in 1935 and is found in a variety of combined forms in both animal and plant tissues.

It is thought that a supplement may be especially helpful when taking antibiotics as the natural bacteria will be destroyed. In very high doses, Biotin may benefit diabetics by preventing nerve damage and increasing the body's response to insulin, however this should only be tried under medical supervision.
