Frequently Asked Questions

Unfortunately due to a family bereavement our offices will be closed until the 10th January. However, you can email info@corkk.co.uk and we will get back to you asap.

How do we select the wine?

Each bottle of wine is carefully selected by a Master of Wine, who uses their knowledge and expertise to choose high quality, good value wine.

Do tasting notes come with the wine?

Yes, each wine will have tasting notes, including food pairings and background to the winemakers. These are written by our Master of Wine.

Who is our Master of Wine?

Clive Barlow is our Master of Wine. Clive started his wine career working on an English vineyard back in the 1980’s - he really was an early adopter - and hence has a real passion and knowledge of English wine. He passed his Master of Wine exams in 1999, has a wonderful selection of wines at the Goods Shed in Canterbury and is often found judging (and chairing panels of judges) at International Wine Awards.

Why just English and Welsh wine?

Whilst there are many truly wonderful wines from around the globe we are celebrating the growers and winemakers of England and Wales, who are increasingly producing internationally recognised wines. We also love that drinking these exciting wines also means we are naturally lowering our carbon footprint.

Can I cancel my rolling subscription?

Yes, of course. You can cancel your rolling subscription a week before up to your next delivery date.

Is your packaging eco friendly?

Yes. At Corkk we are conscious of the environment and strive to be as eco friendly as possible. All our packaging is 100% recyclable. And 70% of the packaging used is made from recycled materials. We look to improve this further with the suppliers we work with. We have also considered the eco impact in relation to our delivery. We have agreed to have all our orders collected every week, so that we can reduce emissions as much as possible. I hope you feel it’s worth the slight delay to your order.

What are the P&P costs?

P&P is free for all orders over £100, otherwise it costs £5.90 per order.

How often do you send your orders out?

We normally have 2 deliveries per week in order to keep our carbon footprint low. It is much more eco friendly to dispatch in batches rather than having the courier company come each day. Hence, we have arranged a bi-weekly pick up from our couriers to dispatch the orders. It also enables us to manage orders from some of the smaller artisanal vineyards. Whilst we recognise you may not receive your order immediately we hope you appreciate that this will help. If you have any special requirements for a time sensitive delivery, please let us know.

What is the average delivery time?

We will send out your order as soon as possible and we aim to ensure your first delivery arrives within a week. However, it sometimes takes a little longer as we are working with some artisanal vineyards. We will inform you when we ship your order.

Do you let us know when you are about to deliver your order?

Yes, working together with our courier company we will email you when we are about to send the order out. If you provide your telephone number the courier will also text you the time slot the delivery will be.

What is your returns policy?

You can arrange a return with our carrier.

What happens if a bottle is broken?

Please let us know by email info@corkk.co.uk and we will send you a replacement.
