Bunnahabhain distillery lies in a secluded coastal location on the beautiful hebriddean island of Islay. An excellent example of
breaking with tradition, Bunnahabhain bucked the trend for heavily peated Islay malts. If the island's beauty could be translated to whisky then this Exceptional Cask would be a front runner.
Tasting Notes
The enchanting nose gives dried fruit notes with apricot and honey coming to the fore. There is a trace of peat smoke.
The palate is layered, again rich with building intensity as the elements displayed on the nose develop.
This is a beautifully intense Malt with the honey notes stretching long into the finish.
