Glenturret 2007 13 Year Old, The Hosh Cask #106/2007
This rare single malt has been crafted, bottled and labelled by hand at the Glenturret Distillery.
One of only 602 bottles available worldwide from a single cask.
'The Hosh' was the Gaelic name given to the beautiful, and secluded lands surrounding their distillery. Sitting in the lower glen, overlooking the river Turret, the Hosh is a picturesque and fertile area near the historic market town of Crieff. Surrounded by rich, green hills, the area's seclusion will no doubt have contributed to its early history as a site of illicit distilling.
The spirit:
Burnished copper in colour. Soft on the nose, ginger and subtle fruits merge together. Darker fruits evolve on the palate, with a slight edge of ginger - warm at first with a honey sweetness to follow. Wood spices are slowly revealed, leading to a dry, lingering finish with hints of light spice. This rare single malt showcases the Glenturret signature character - non-chill filtered for maximum flavour.
