Monkey 47 Gin

The Number 47, so called because it contains 47 botanicals.

Story of Product:
Born in India, Monty Collins was an English eccentric whose military career led him to Berlin, where after the war he helped in the reconstruction of the city, in particular the zoo where he adopted an egret monkey. During this time he lived in the Black forest, reigniting his long-held passion for Gin, which he produced from the abundance of botanicals.  In 2008 Black Forest Distillers adopted Montgomery Collins’ unique recipe, to distil a genuine Black Forest dry gin, they were so pleased with the results they named it Monkey 47 in memory of Monty Collins and his Monkey, Max, and because of the 47 botanicals it contains.
